Last month we flew out to Vegas to go to a funeral for Justin's niece. We also visited a lot of family and friends and traveled all over the place. One of the highlights for me was going to my FIRST concert. Justin 100% surprised me with a Celine Dion concert. It was a complete blast! Here's the story:
The next night, Tuesday, Justin wanted to go get a rental car in Vegas, but when we got there...the rental car thing was just a cover up for a crazy surprise he had. We drove down "the strip" and I wasn't too thrilled. If anybody knows me, they know that I DO NOT like the "glamor" of Las Vegas at...all. Justin said he wanted to just walk around the Colosseum for a little bit then we'd go get the car. He walks us to Celine Dion's concert entrance. Are you kidding me!?!? I was completely shocked!! I have never ever been to ANY concert and I've always wanted to see Celine Dion in concert. AHH! Our seats were at the very top back row. After sitting for only a few minutes, this guy came to us and gave us a free upgrade...in the FRONT section!!! I just couldn't believe that this was all happening. It was a perfect experience for my first concert. I cried the first few songs (mostly because of the love that Justin has for me). The concert was great...except for one very disappointing song with a very unnecessary background....Not sure why THAT had to be included in a family concert setting. But other than the small roach in the brownie.... IT WAS AWESOME!!
Now....fast forward to February 8th.
Justin has always been a huge fan of rodeos and really wanted to go to the one in San Antonio, and also to see Tim McGraw. Tim McGraw has ALWAYS been on my bucket list...and he was going to be in town! Thanks to last minute babysitters and paying a pretty penny...we had our tickets and were on our way to the rodeo and concert. The rodeo part of it was...OK. :) I was patiently waiting for THE concert. Justin said not to get too excited because we were up pretty high and so we probably weren't going to be able to see Tim very well. Then a little bit before the rodeo was over, a whole bunch of people in our section got up and left, and we started to follow them. There was a huge line to "go to the floor" and I had no idea what the heck they were talking about. We took this elevator, and before I knew it, we were on the floor of the stadium...Justin had gotten us FRONT ROW TICKETS!!!!!! When Tim McGraw came out, I was jumping up and down like a giddy school girl. He is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I'm not going to lie...he is PURE eye candy. The concert was INCREDIBLE and it was so neat because he even came down and shook every bodies hand that were on the floor level. I'll never wash my hands...again...ever...ever. It was an experience I'll never forget, and I'm SO THANKFUL to Justin for surprising me with such incredible tickets. If you' going to go to a concert...ya might as well go big or stay home. :)
Next concert....Carrie Underwood, or Josh Groban, or Kelly Clarkson, or Taylor Swift.
My celine dion concert was 1996. I was 16 and was able to go with my friends older sister - i loved it. Than last year she was back in switzerland again and i wanted to see her but the cheapest ticket was over 250 Dollar!! Can you believe it? Anyway so i still have my concert 18years ago in my mind and it was awsome! Glad you could go!
