The Heart Brain Connection

I am reading this book right now, and I am just soaking it UP!! I highly recommend it.
Something that I read this morning that just stuck right out:
"The left brain is the thinking and the conscious side. The right brain is the feeling and the sub-conscious side. If we FEEL in our heart that we are not worthy of something we THINK in our brain that we want in our life, we will generally not receive it. We may THINK in our brain we are not worthy, but unknowingly FEEL in our heart that we are. If this is the case, what we are FEELING will win, rather than what we are THINKING. When the two sides of the brain are not in agreement, there is inner conflict or war, and there will be conflict until agreement is reached-until both sides of the brain come together."

Genesis 6:5
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth,
and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only
evil continually.
Proverbs 23:7
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he...
Matthew 9:4
And Jesus knowing their thoughts said,
Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
Acts 8:22
Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God,
if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
"In order for us to experience in life what we THINK we want, the THINKING and the FEELING have to be in unison. If the FEELING is not the same as the THINKING, then we need to change the FEELING so that it becomes the same as the THIKING. After we align the THINKING and the FEELING so they are the same, we become single minded. When we are single-minded about what we desire in life, life works for us instead of against us. Because, the FEELING or heart, always wins. What we FEEL is literally the "prayer of our heart," and we always receive the "prayer of our heart!"

SO what that all means is:

"Did you ever wonder why positive affirmations work for some people and not for others? For those who do not experience results it's because the thinking and the feeling are not together. And for those who DO experience results, it's usually because their thinking and feeling ARE together. When the thinking and feeling are not together it will usually take a long time, but if a person continues saying affirmations long enough, it IS possible for the thinking and feeling to come together and effect a change. It's called becoming SINGLE-MINDED. Another way to describe this phenomena is that we become integrated....bringing together the thinking-conscious left brain with the feeling-sub-conscious right brain...so that the two sides o the bran are no longer separate, but have become a whole, compatible unit. When we establish this unity, real power is created."

James 1:8
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
