I have been feeling kind of bad since my last post...

Yes, our family has room for improvements but I need to be better at counting my blessings than noticing all our flaws (and feeling the need to always point it out).
We are not always happy, BUT we have a LOT of fun and good times in our family too. I wouldn't trade my family life for anything. I have a wonderful marriage to a great man who ADORES me, and three beautiful kids whom I love and am so very thankful for.
Time to focus on my blessings and focus on the positive in my life. I bought a gratitude journal awhile ago and I need to start using it more often.

We didn't go 100% without TV this week BUT we did cut back way a lot and spent more quality time together that I feel really good about. Small steps in the right direction.

One of our favorite things to do recently is drive around as a family and take pictures of the beautiful fall trees. I LOVE THE FALL SEASON IN OHIO!! It has not left us disappointed. Every time I see a beautiful tree I just want to give it a big hug. I'm a tree hugger during the fall season.  :)

During one of our family drives, we stopped at an old abandoned house (THANKS JUSTIN!). I love love exploring abandoned houses. My imagination runs wild. I want to know the history! Who lived there? Why was it abandoned? Who owns the place? How long has it been empty? I went in by myself. My heart was pounding!! I was too nervous to check out the upstairs but I snooped around the first level. Maybe (hopefully!) I'll be able to go back sometime and be able to snoop around longer and be brave enough to check the upstairs out.

We checked out a pumpkin patch and walked through a corn maze (first time we have ever done that).

While in the corn maze, a 8 and 10 year old boy followed us. At one point the 8 year old grabbed my hand and just held it for a few minutes while he told me stories about school. I thought it was sweet and I couldn't help but wonder about his mom and where she was. The boys dad was outside the maze waiting for them.
